As a lawyer, I approach most frameworks with a healthy dose of skepticism—especially those promising to “transform” leadership. But Coaching Power is refreshingly grounded. It doesn’t rely on buzzwords or vague inspiration. Instead, it presents a thoughtful, well-structured case for how coaching can actually move the needle—whether you’re leading a team, advising clients, or navigating complexity in high-stakes environments. What stood out to me is how applicable the tools are to the legal profession, where clarity, curiosity, and emotional intelligence can be just as critical as technical skill. A smart, pragmatic read.

Coaching Power isn’t just smart—it’s actually useful. It helped me realize how often I jump in with advice when what people really need is space to think and feel for themselves. This book taught me how to slow down, ask better questions, and trust others to do their own best thinking.

It’s clear, grounded in science, and very relatable. I’ve already used some of the tools in conversations with my clients and my team, and the shift is noticeable.

If you’re a parent, life partner, leader, manager, a mental healthcare clinician or just someone who wants to be more present and effective in how you show up for others—read this.

    Highly recommend.

I recently received an early copy of this book and I'm thoroughly impressed. I've highlighted numerous passages, dog-eared pages, and filled it with notes. The authors have skillfully condensed valuable leadership and coaching insights into a concise 250-page guide that you'll actually reference regularly.
What stands out is their refreshing perspective in Chapter 11: "As a coach-leader, your job is to help people choose." This principle challenges conventional leadership approaches by focusing on empowering decision-making rather than dictating actions.
The book's strength lies in how it combines practical advice with meaningful insights. Drawing from their experience as both executives and coaches who've guided countless Fortune 500 leaders over two decades, the authors provide wisdom that feels both credible and applicable.
In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, this book offers clear direction. It's like having experienced coaches guiding you through challenges, encouraging better questions instead of quick answers, and reminding you of the value of occasional reflection. One of the best out there!

The practical advice and relatable scenarios make it especially valuable.
