Cisco has announced big changes to its certification program.

As of February 24, 2020, all current certifications will be retired, and Cisco will begin offering new certification programs.

The good news is if you’re working toward any current CCNA certification, keep going. You have until February 24, 2020 to complete your current CCNA. If you already have CCENT/ICND1 certification and would like to earn CCNA, you have until February 23, 2020 to complete your CCNA certification in the current program.  Likewise, if you’re thinking of completing the current CCENT/ICND1, ICND2, or CCNA Routing and Switching certification, you can still complete them between now and February 23, 2020.

    Todd Montgomery has been in the networking industry for more than 35 years and holds many certifications from Amazon, Cisco, Juniper, VMware, CompTIA, and other companies. He is CCNA Data Center, CCNA Security, and CCNP Routing and Switching certified. He holds four AWS and three Comptia certifications.

    Todd has spent most of his career out in the field working onsite in data centers throughout North America and around the world. He has worked for equipment manufacturers, systems integrators, and end users of data center equipment in the public, service provider, and government sectors. Todd is currently working on Cisco networks around the world for a large systems integration firm. He is involved in network implementation and support of emerging data center technologies. Todd also works with software-defined networking (SDN) evaluation plans, cloud technologies, Cisco Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 switches, Juniper core routing, and firewall security products as well as various cloud providers with a focus on Amazon Web Services.

    This book covers a lot of different Cloud technologies from a Cisco viewpoint. I read the first twelve chapters that cover the Cisco CCNA Intro to Cloud 210-451 exam. I was able to cram for four days, take the exam and pass it. The exam was very hard, but this book covers everything that was in it. I will read the next half of the book for the 210-455 exam. Highly recommend.

    Goes from generic Cloud concepts, to Cisco hardware and everything in between. It's really clearly and logically structured, with a good range of exercises at the end of each chapter - great prep for the Cisco exams.

    I work a a designer for an organisation that provides cloud-based intranet solutions, and found book is an excellent primer on cloud computing. Topics include system and monitoring, deployment and networking. Importantly for me, it's a well organised and readable overview of the subject. Definitely recommended even if you're not preparing for the exam.

    This is a very comprehensive review guide to help you achieve the Cisco CCNA Cloud accreditation for iT and Communication Professionals. It covers two exams; 210-451, Understanding Cisco Cloud Fundamentals, and 210-455. It covers a wide range of Cisco cloud services including, deployment, management and monitoring, cloud computing, networking, and storage. It also covers administration, reporting, billing and reporting.

    This study guide aimed at preparing for the CCNA Cloud exams which are entry Cisco qualifications but quite comprehensive and challenging nevertheless. There is an opening list of exam topics, hands-on exercises and real-world examples It also includes online learning and study tools with; two custom practice tests, electronic flashcards and a searchable glossary

    Overall this is an excellent book for those moving into iT or Cloud and provides the basis for further accreditations and specialisms while also explaining the basics.
